Phornphop Sittirak (+ Prasert Yodkaew): Two men look out through the same bars: one sees the mud, and one the stars

July 28th, 2017
14 July and 13 August 2017

Curator : Kritsada Duchsadeevanich
By observing the context of the Thai society in the present days where every action and activity is watched, wrongness (weirdness) often plays a big role in life. Life then requires cautiousness, as though we are taking a night journey in the land of beautiful and tranquil dreams (sweet dreams/nightmares), yet full of traps that are ready to drag us into the bizarre land.

This exhibition is presented by two artists, whose works focus on the status of our society combining with artists’ personal experiences, both intentionally or by destiny.
Phornphop is 1 of 6 artists selected for the exposed : up-and-coming artists project of the Art Centre, Silpakorn University. Over a period of one year, he has been working with the Art Centre in creating works for this exhibition, together with inviting another emerging artist – Prasert Yodkaew to have this show with him. Exposed : up-and-coming artists project aim at supporting young emerging artists whose works show interesting perspective towards social issues.
